Vision of Unity

We are a movement both Catholic and ecumenical (Christians unite) seeking to usher in an age where all who have given their hearts to Jesus will walk side by side encouraging each other in our faith. Here you will enjoy books, music, videos and testimonies from all different sorts of Christian traditions and backgrounds. But all sources have the bond of believing in the Trinity, all acknowledge the divine origin of the Scriptures, and all are striving to live for the one who died and rose for them.

unity 4webWe are the generation who will see the rift of division healed by the comprehension that their is only one faith and the church IS One. Realizing this, we will see Christians coming together, turning the world's head by our unity in diversity. Multitudes of youth who serve in the protestant tradition will step into cathedrals and gaze in awe at the soaring columns and stained glass windows and realize the beauty of our rich heritage. Millions of Catholic youth will search the scriptures with an intensity that will confound protestant circles. Together we will fight the adversary of souls, and side by side we will worship the One true God. As One body of Christ, One Bride for our King, One Holy Temple, and One flock guided by the Good Shepherd.

In the words of John Paul II, "In recent times Christ has begun to bestow more generously upon divided Christians remorse over their divisions and a longing for unity. Everywhere, large numbers have felt the impulse of this grace and among our separated brethren also there increases from day to day a movement, fostered by the grace of the Holy Spirit, for the restoration of unity among all Christians. Taking part in this movement, which is called ecumenical, are those who invoke the triune God and confess Jesus as Lord and Saviour"

Some will cry "what about our doctrinal distinctions?" And while each following our conscience on issues of faith and practice is not something to downplay, we have to come to realize that the things that unite us are infinitely greater than those that divide us. There is a new birth in Christ that is the foundation of unity as we enter the family of God as children. As the Scripture says, "as many as received Christ, to them He gave the right to become the children of God" True ecumenism is not necessarily denominations uniting. There are many people who call themselves "protestant" or "catholic" who have no personal relationship with Christ. But it is our call to unite with all those in any tradition who have a love for our Saviour and striving to live for Him. Tolerance of each other must prevail until doctrinal perfection comes as we see Christ come in glory. He will reveal to each our limited vision and straighten everything false. "For we know in part... and we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face." (1 Cor. 13)

I leave you with a portion of Jesus' final prayer he left his disciples with, "I pray for those who will believe in Me through my disciples words; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me."(John 17:20,21)
